Akpabio Commends Wike’s Achievements In Rivers State



The Senate minority leader and former governor of Akwa Ibom state, Senator Godswill Akpabio has asked the state governments to be innovative in revenue generation for the development of their people.
The Senate Minority leader was speaking during a courtesy call to the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom wike at the state’s Government House in Port Harcourt.

The Senator commended the state governor on his efforts towards developing the state.
” Noting that the developmental projects carried out by the governor in the past 17 months is commendable”.
He said through careful planning in the use of available resources, state governments can bring development to their people.
Sen. Akpabio also commended the Rivers State governor for his amnesty programme that has improved peace in the state.
“I am here to commend governor Wike for his giant developmental strides across the state. Governor Wike is a shining light of infrastructural development. I urge him to continue in developing Rivers State. He has defied economic downturn to improve the living conditions of his people.”
Governor Nyesom Wike said he remained committed to bringing development to the people.
The state government has reportedly spent over 150 billion Naira in various infrastructural projects ranging from roads and bridges, renovation of schools, hospitals and other rural projects.
