Worried by the dilapidated state of facilities in its health institutions, Government of Akwa Ibom said it has commenced replacement and upgrade of all equipments at Hospital cross the state.
Gov Udom Emmanuel who made this known in Saturday during this month’s September Government House prayer held the later house Chapel in Uyo said the move is to enable the hospitals provide better health service to the people.
He said that all necessary equipment’s ordered from United State of America for the upgrade are now ready and would soon arrive in the country.
The Governor who decried the high level of vandalism of public utilities especially electric transformers by hoodlums said very soon the long arms of the law would soon caught up with the criminals.
He called on youths in the state to be vigilant and desist from colluding with criminal’s gangs from other state to perpetrate evil and rub the state of its public infrastructures.
The Governor who announced that this year state government anniversary celebration would be low key to enable citizens reflect governor said that security is everybody’s business and should not be left for the security men alone.
Emmanuel who enjoined the people to key into the government agriculture road map of cultivation of Cocoa and other cash crops in order to generate income announced plans by the state government to involve in direct produce buying from farmers to enable them get international price for their crops.
He promised that any community that donate land for agricultural or industrial purpose would be given priority in term of employment.
