Oshiomhiole Has Performed Well To Earn Him Key Position In Abuja – PMB
Apparently in recognition of the developmental strides of the out-going Edo State governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhiole, President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday said the Leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) would look for place for the Governor to continue to serve his fatherland.

Buhari who said Oshiomhole has performed creditably well would be allow to go even as his 8 years tenure comes to an end this week, expressed satisfaction with the governor despite the difficult economic challenges faced by the nation.
Speaking yesterday when he paid a courtesy visit to the Omo N’Oba Nedo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare 11 at the palace of the monarch in Benin the state capital as part of his two day official visit to Edo state, President Buhari praised Governor Adams Oshiomhole for developmental strides despite the economic challenges.
He also promised to look into some of the requests made by the Oba of Benin kingdom.

Earlier, Oba Ewuare 11 in his welcome speech lauded President Buhari for the efforts by his government in the drive towards reviving the country’s ailing economy and to improve the lives of the citizenry.
The monarch said the President’s “efforts to reposition the country to a respectful status within the comity of nations is well appreciated.”
He specifically expressed the support of the traditional institution for the federal government towards restoring peace and stability in the troubled areas of the country and the government’s resolve to fight corruption with great zeal aimed at bringing confidence in the polity.
Mr. President we support the efforts you are making to restore peace and stability in troubled
areas of the country which according to him has made a pronouncement of our self-recovery and the resolve to fight corruption in our great nation.”

While expressing appreciation for the various appointments made by the President Muhammadu Buahri’s administration which included worthy sons and daughters of Edo state into positions of authority, he also solicited for more federal government’s presence in the state even as he reiterated his earlier appeal to the government for more support in the dredging and transformation of the popular Gelegele Seaport into an import and export processing zone to boost the state’s agro-allied industry and her economy.
The traditional ruler noted that the gesture would help create employment for the army of unemployed youths so that they can contribute positively to the socio-economic growth of the nation.

Oba Ewuare11 who also thanked Mr. President for the support during his recent coronation as the 40th Oba of the ancient Benin Kingdom prayed for the success of the President’s visit and that the consciousness of brotherhood of man and love of our creator to moderate our attitude towards each other in order to ensure peaceful environment positive for development in support of the federal government efforts at transforming the country.
The host Governor Oshiomhole had described the President’s visit as remarkable as it was designed to witness some of the key achievements.
The President later commissioned the multi million naira well equipped Accident and Emergency complex of the Central Hospital which was established in 1902, Upper Siluko dual carriage road, reconstructed Queen Ede Gully Erosion site on Ikpoba Hill area, Upper Siluko road, Dr. Samuel Ogbemudia College (formerly New Era College on Upper Mission road.

The President is expected to leave the state for State House, Abuja, on Tuesday after commissioning some of the projects in Edo Central and Edo North senatorial districts of the state.
